Back in 2013, M-KOPA was the first company to commercialise pay-as-you-go solar systems for low-income consumers.


The challenge back then was two-fold; how do we establish this new category and how do we help M-KOPA scale its customer base?
The challenges evolved as the company scaled – they included building out the product offer, differentiation from emerging competitors and supporting organisational growth.
