Challenge

Compassion International wanted to be positioned as a thought leadership in child welfare, highlighted in its child protection campaign, the different media stakeholder engagement opportunities, and social media messaging.

Our work

The scope of work carried by Levanter included: 

  • Developed and implemented a detailed communications strategy around child neglect and its impact.  
  • We have managed the different elements of their ongoing communications and stakeholder engagement.  
  • Did an overhaul of their social media platforms and digital presence and developed high level messages and accompanying artwork to show impact.  
  • Facilitated industry partnership events such as webinars. The webinar brought together over  500 interested parties working with children in Kenya. E.g., Childline Kenya, Undugu Society of Kenya (USK), 
  • Organized a digital competition where the youth were tasked with creatively demonstrating neglect and its impact. 
  • Provided on the ground support on events and media engagements 

Impact 

  • The webinar generated possible partnership opportunities with like-minded organizations. E.g., Amref Health Africa. 
  • It had a total online coverage readership of 118,000 and approximately 619,000 offline giving a PR value of KSh.3.45M 
  • The animations we developed for them increased their audience’s knowledge of child neglect, while also elevating their brand awareness.
